There are so many negative aspects to Social Media that we tend to over look the positive ones too. Each social media sight has at least one thing in common. The capability to keep in touch. Each new social media sight has a new idea or way to keep people in touch with one another by adding in emotions to statuses, pictures and tagging people in different kinds of posts. Each new post is a description of what we are doing, how we are doing or what is going on in our lives.
Social media is the gateway to getting noticed. There are so many different kinds of ways people can become focused on themselves that we don't want to spend time on others. Different sights like digication, facebook and instagram are the top three media sights that employers will first look at, no matter if you have set boundaries through settings or don't have either one, your future is in your own hands. There have been so many different accounts of people loosing their jobs over people freaking out on a social media sight about their jobs.
If we can keep out slate clean and go with the flow then social media is a fantastic way to keep in touch! On the bright side, at least there's a fun and new way to really define the way the common human interacts with the wild side of technology. This, is a perfect example
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdemFfbS5H0,
In the past ten years so much has changed, as each year progresses new inventions surface and seem to break the unknown. New challenges arise and customs are broken, this generation is more accustomed to having personal interactions over a wireless device rather than face to face. This in turn has made it easier to hide behind a technological device than to hold a strong conversation with an individual. As this generation becomes more involved and relies more and more on technology we have lost sight of what having a real conversation is like, and as we study and prepare to go out into the real world, it will be the older individuals from the generations above us who are hiring and if we are not what they see as “norm” then how has social media helped us?
A current study done by Glenn Derene showed “by the age of 14, most kids today will have been fully engaged in the digital world for almost a decade, but there’s still no clear guidance on when a child is ready for his or her own computer, cellphone, or tablet.” It really all comes down to the level of maturity. How do we know when a child is mature enough to constantly use a electronical device? What makes us act the way we do and in turn think it is ok or it is not ok? What instincts give us that go or stop? How will it affect the psychology  for a child?
